 The China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Machinery, Metallurgical and Building Materials Trade Union, in collaboration with industry and societal stakeholders, jointly organized and completed the 2023 Third National Mechanical Industry Design Innovation Competition. Congratulations to Hangzhou WREN Hydraulic Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd.! Under the guidance of instructor Zhang Limin, the team members Zhang Wenxue, Li Yanqi, He Wei, and Wang Wenjun jointly designed the “Double-Acting Ultra-High Pressure Hydraulic Pump,” which won the Excellence Award in the Product Category of the 2023 “Lingping Cup” Third National Mechanical Industry Design Innovation Competition.

 Currently, single-acting hydraulic stretchers widely used in the market rely on springs for piston reverse reset. However, spring forces that are either too strong or too weak not only compromise the output precision of the stretcher but also impact the efficiency of bolt tightening operations. Compared to single-acting hydraulic tensioners, double-acting hydraulic tensioners replace the return spring with a hydraulic pump, allowing oil to flow only during the return stroke. This eliminates wasted energy, maintains output precision, and enables rapid piston return by controlling the return pressure. Despite these advantages, double-acting hydraulic tensioners require two single-acting hydraulic pumps for operation, resulting in high usage costs.

Addressing the urgent market demand, our company has developed a double-acting ultra-high-pressure hydraulic pump. This innovation resolves the existing technical gap by providing a double-acting ultra-high-pressure hydraulic pump suitable for operating pressures exceeding 100MPa. It incorporates a high-pressure shock prevention structure within the piping system, comprising a throttle valve, a hydraulically controlled shut-off valve, a hydraulically controlled check valve, and a two-position two-way solenoid valve. On one hand, the throttle valve and hydraulically controlled shut-off valve relieve the ultra-high pressure within the high-pressure working port. On the other hand, the hydraulically controlled check valve enables rapid return of high-pressure working fluid. This effectively prevents the instantaneous surge of high-pressure fluid into the return line, avoiding impact damage to the return line and connected low-pressure components while ensuring efficient high-pressure fluid return. Compared to single-acting hydraulic oil-electric pumps, it offers advantages such as bidirectional oil supply, functional diversity, smooth operation, high efficiency, and overall compactness, thereby enhancing the performance and operational efficiency of hydraulic systems.

Double-acting ultra-high-pressure hydraulic pumps have continuously made progress and breakthroughs in both industry-common and key technologies. They have played a leading, exemplary, and driving role in industry development, providing valuable references for the design and manufacturing of other hydraulic pumps and related equipment, and propelling the advancement of the entire industry. This pump incorporates advanced energy-saving technologies, such as sophisticated hydraulic system control algorithms, electronic frequency conversion technology, and transducers, to achieve a balance of high efficiency and reduced energy consumption and operating costs. The introduction of an intelligent control system enables smart monitoring, fault diagnosis, and predictive maintenance through sensors, automation technology, and data analysis, thereby enhancing pump reliability and production efficiency. Safety performance is prioritized in the design through the incorporation of dual hydraulic valves, leakage protection devices, overload protection, and other safety equipment, enhancing pump safety and safeguarding personnel health, life, and property. Environmental protection and energy conservation are emphasized in the design, achieved through measures like waste heat recovery and hydraulic oil recycling systems, enabling comprehensive energy utilization and environmental protection.
